Ichiban Kasuga’s Quest for Truth and Redemption

Ichiban Kasuga, a low-ranking member of a minor yakuza family in Tokyo, is sentenced to 18 years in prison after taking the fall for a crime he didn't commit. Despite the injustice, Ichiban maintains his loyalty and faith while serving his time. However, upon his release, he discovers a harsh reality: no one was waiting for him, and his yakuza clan has been destroyed by the very man he once respected the most.

Fueled by a thirst for vengeance and a desire to uncover the truth behind his family's betrayal, Ichiban sets out on a mission to reclaim his life. Along the way, he forms an unlikely alliance with a group of society’s outcasts: Adachi, a rogue cop; Nanba, a homeless ex-nurse; and Saeko, a hostess on a personal quest. As Ichiban recruits new party members, he spends time with them, strengthening their abilities and unlocking devastating combo skills that are key to their survival.
